The volunteers at Oz Comic-Con Melbourne all checked out ‘Minds of Sand and Light’ – here they are giggle-snorting at Botswana’s antics. They were tremendous assistance and I could not have done the show without them – Thank you guys!

June Update

I just got back from Melbourne Oz Comic-Con on Monday. What a fantastic pair of conventions!

Adelaide: Many thanks to my patron on Patreon Naomi who came along for both days to help me out (and even drove me around and took me for Ramen!). My mega-fan Lisa also came to say hello, and it was lovely to catch up with her.

Melbourne: Thanks to the people of Melbourne who came out in droves. The convention centre was full of people and the vibe was fabulous.

Remember that if you are a high-level patron I can give you a wristband and you can come spend the day with me at the con.

You can check out my con pics on my Instagram at:

I took many photos of the fantastic cosplays at both shows and the Insta is full of them!

I will be at Oz Comic-Con Brisbane and Sydney in September, and the Sydney Book Fair in October, so those cities will not miss out! Perth – I’ll see about doing the Perth con next year, I really want to get out there.

Bookstore Visits

Harper-Collins have arranged some visits to bookstores in Brisbane and Gold Coast, now that I’m back home. They aren’t ‘signings’ as such, more to tell the staff of the book stores about the new one, and to sign some of their stock.

This means that signed copies will be on the shelves at the following book stores:
– Dymocks Brisbane City (the big Queen St store)
– Dymocks Indooroopilly (Indro)
– Dymocks Chermside
– QBD Chermside
– Riverbend Books Bulimba
And then on the Gold Coast
– Book Face Pacific Fair (this will be weird because I go to Coles and woolies in Pac Fair)
– QBD Robina (I’ll get lost…)

If you are in the SEQ area, you will be able to drop in on these stores and buy a signed copy of ‘Minds’! Remember I also have signed copies of all the novels available on my website if you’re outside this area.

Upcoming Appearances

The next thing I have happening is a self-publishing workshop on July 29 at Zillmere Library. I’ll post the link for that in early July.

Many thanks to my patrons for helping me to make the trips to Adelaide and Melbourne, I would not have been able to make the cons without you!

‘Serpent Princess’

I spent a great deal of time at the cons reassuring people that book 10 of ‘Dark Heavens’ is on the way. The Patrons have been reading it, and it’s close to finished. As I have no deadline for this one, I can take the time and ensure that I do it right. Keep and eye on the newsletter and I will update you as to its progress!
