August Update
Winter is a quieter season for us writers, so I’ve been concentrating on book 2 of the Dragon Empire series, tentatively titled ‘Guardian of Empire’. It’s coming along well, and now that the warmer weather is on its way, festival and convention season has started!
Thanks to IngramSpark, the self-publishing arm of Ingram book wholesalers, for hosting me at a very well-received panel at Byron Bay Writers Festival! I’m following up with a Self-Publishing 101 workshop at Queensland Writers Centre in November.
There’s still time to join this full-day workshop on writing fantasy, to be held at the State Library of Queensland. I fully intend to make people walk out of the room ready to rock the fantasy world.
Thanks to the assistance of my Patreon subscribers, I’ve been able to join Oz Comic-Con Sydney and Brisbane this year. Sydney is September 29-30 and Brisbane is 22-23. Come along and collect signed copies of ‘Scales of Empire’ – I will even have the audiobook of Scales in CD format! With the support of my patrons, I’ll definitely be doing more shows, hopefully even Adelaide and Perth next year. I didn’t make it to Melbourne this year, but I will definitely be there next year as well.

I’m updating the story every month, and when it’s finished I’ll arrange for printed copies to be created. It’s a side-story from the Dark Heavens universe, that I haven’t released anywhere else.
